The shoe fell

I shouldn't have said a damn thing. The what if expense happened today. Today, I lost my cat of 12 years. She was sick but I thought she'd be okay. She needed a good amount of blood work and the results came back overwhelmingly horrible. She kidneys had completely shut down. Poor little girl was just done. Early this afternoon, I had to put her to sleep.

I'm having a really hard time giving a shit about the $325 bill or what I'm going to have to put off to cover it. I just can't care right now. I'll care later. Sometimes, there just seems like there are bigger fish to fry.

I am so sorry for such a shock and the loss you've endured! Just take some time for you right now...you just lost a cherished family member. I have 3 kitties of my own and I love them dearly. We almost lost one 2 years ago to liver failure. My thoughts are with you. Take it easy.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. And so deeply disappointing that there wasn't anything that could be done to prolong her life.

Thank you for a great blog and again, sorry about what's happened.

Awww, that's always sad to hear. So sorry to hear that. At least she had a pretty good run of 12 years, though and you obviously have some great memories of her.

I know your pain 1st hand, I lost Gigi in June to the same awful Kidney Failure, now our dog Bear is in the early stages of renal failure and my heart just aches for him.

omg, I just read about your cat. Putting a pet down is one of the saddest things a person will ever have to do. Regrettably, I've had to do it a number of times and each time is no easier than the first. My heart goes out to you.
